Mycelichor is a hybrid term of mycelium and petrichor. Fungal filaments called hyphae comprise the root like network of mushrooms that lives underground playing a crucial role in the exchange of information between ecosystems. Petrichor is that earthy scent that arises as rain falls. Mycelium represent the vast unseen network that helps ecosystems thrive while petrichor symbolizes renewal, hope and change after the storm. It’s the perfect metaphor for mutual aid, solidarity, and the power of grassroots movements.
